While the interview does involve several steps and components, it doesn’t need to take up too much of your time.  See the sample agenda below, and note, as a manager you’re only investing fifteen minutes for each candidate. And while sixty-five minutes total may seem like a lot if you’re hiring many CSRs, this agenda will give you and your team a clear picture of the person you’re interviewing, while at the same time providing the candidate an equally clear picture of what the job entails.  The time spent will allow many candidates for whom the position is not a good match to realize this up front and take themselves out of the running as candidates.

Sample Interview Agenda:

1.  Greet applicant and provide them with an agenda (5 minutes).
2.  Applicant listens to calls, side by side or remote (15 minutes).
3.  Have them talk with the team, including CSRs (20 minutes).
4.  Have them answer a couple questions through chat or email (10 minutes).
5.  Wrap up with hiring manager interview (15 minutes).
